FREE MODERN DANCE PERFORMANCES
Denver-based modern dance company presents "On Water" a site-specific dance in City Park

Denver, Colorado — SPEAKING OF DANCE is pleased to present the premiere of "On Water," a site-specific dance choreographed by Deborah Reshotko, SOD artistic director, with an intergenerational cast including both SOD company dancers and community members. The idea for this dance comes from Denver's experience with drought; the dance explores the importance of water to us. Free performances will take place at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14, 2003, at the Big Meadow in City Park, between the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Ferril Lake. The performances include live original music by composer Mark McCoin with Jon Stubbs.
Performing are Brie Anderson-Feldman, Georgia Arribau, Mande Broderick, Anne Chapman, Susan Coates, Tamara Freund, Claudia Hernandez-Ponce, Gabriella Koehn, Christine O'Dea, Gino Proctor, Markus Ramirez, Deborah Reshotko, Becky Sievers, Dais Tomita. For more information, call 303-722-0902 or visit www.speakingofdance.org.
Support for these concerts is provided in part by the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado, Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, Denver Ballet Guild, the City and County of Denver, and Zupkus and Angell, Attorneys.
